Why this exists

Most online PDF tools make you sign up, cap you at two or three files a day, watermark the output, or upload your document to a server you know nothing about. That is a poor trade for a task that takes four seconds.

SolveMyPDF started as an attempt to do the common jobs — merge, split, compress, convert, sign — with no account, no daily limit, and no watermark. It grew into something more specific: a collection of document generators for the forms people actually have to fill in and cannot easily find a decent template for. A rent receipt that satisfies an Ontario Trillium claim. A New Zealand IRD-compliant tax invoice. A Section 138 cheque-bounce notice in the format Indian advocates use. A Norwegian sluttattest. A Danish ansættelsesbevis.

Those are the pages we care most about getting right, because the alternative for most people is a paid template site or a badly scanned PDF on a forum.

How the tools work

The large majority of tools here run entirely in your browser. Your PDF is parsed with pdf-lib, images are handled through Canvas and WebAssembly, and the finished file is written straight back to your downloads folder. Nothing is transmitted, so nothing can be retained.

14 tools are the exception, because they need image and document libraries that cannot run in a browser — compression, OCR, rasterising PDF pages, vector tracing, ZIP handling. For those, the file is sent over HTTPS, processed in memory, returned, and discarded. It is never written to disk or stored.

We list those tools by name in the Privacy Policy rather than making a blanket “nothing ever leaves your device” claim, because the blanket claim would not be true.

How it is paid for

Advertising, and nothing else. There is no paid tier, no upsell, and no feature held back. If the ads bother you, an ad blocker will not break anything on the site.

There is a donation page for anyone who wants to support it directly. It is entirely optional and unlocks nothing.

What we are not

We are not a law firm, an accountancy practice, or a medical provider. The document generators produce correctly formatted templates from the details you enter; they do not constitute advice, and we have no way to verify that a template meets the requirements where you live. The Terms of Service set this out in full, and it is worth reading before you rely on generated output for anything consequential.
