About pdf booklet free
Convert standard vertical PDFs into side-by-side landscape booklet layouts for easy printing. Turn an ordinary page-by-page PDF into printer spreads for a folded booklet. The pages are reordered so that when you print double-sided and fold the stack in half, they read in the right order — the same imposition a print shop does before binding a zine, programme or manual.
How to Use This Tool in 3 Easy Steps
Upload the PDF
Use the document in normal reading order, page 1 first.
Generate spreads
Pages are reordered and placed two to a landscape sheet.
Print and fold
Print double-sided, flipping on the short edge, then fold the stack in the middle.
Why Users Choose SolveMyPDF
- ✓Saddle-stitch ordering: Works out which pages share each side of each sheet so the folded booklet reads correctly.
- ✓Automatic padding: Adds blank pages to reach a multiple of four, the page count every folded booklet needs.
- ✓Two pages per sheet: Pages are placed side by side on landscape spreads, ready to print.
- ✓Runs locally: The PDF is processed in your browser and not uploaded.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why were blank pages added to my booklet?
One folded sheet carries four pages — two on each side — so a booklet's page count must be a multiple of four. If yours is not, blank pages are added at the end.
Which print settings should I use?
Double-sided, flip on the short edge, at 100% scale. Flipping on the long edge prints every other side upside down.
How do I bind it?
Fold the printed stack in half and staple along the fold — saddle-stitching. Very thick stacks do not fold cleanly, so for long documents print several smaller booklets and nest them.
